This is an extremely Communist board. In the very section I am supposed to be commenting on the goings on of the site, I am told to shut up by one of the staff.

A few weeks ago, someone spoke out against another editor, his account is now deleted.

Help, help, I'm being repressed.

There was a rather lengthy thread discussing all of this elsewhere within the comments section, I believe. You can find it. You're clever enough.

Communist? More fascist, really. But you'll sort it out.

Despite your original claims, I'd be rather suprised if your post was deleted. You're rather oblivious to the many, numerous complaints allowed to ramble on, on these boards. In fact this very topic was complained about at length for a week or so... Thus me telling you there was no need to create another thread about it.

I don't remember seeing you ever say anything helpful. If I had, I would likely have more encouraging words about the whole thing. So yes, shut up. Improve things through example. Whining has never achieved anything beyond irritation and more whining.

Oh, and for the record, the two threads in Comments immediately preceding yours were about this same topic.

You looked hard, didn't you? That's ok. I forgive you.

Didn't look at all.

I have helped people, numerous times, just not on this account. This account was purely to connect with old friends. I do still occasionally chime in on the chat when it's not covered in fluff.

And you are correct, more fascist.

Sage used to be a mod in this site and a very good one. He's helped many many people and has been in magic for decades. I wouldn't ask a person like him with so much knowledge to shut up. And you also don't have the right to tell anybody to shut up. Lots of members of this site have been helped thanks to Sage.

Both of you, please stop.

Sage - Yes, you can share your views but if you would've looked, you would certainly notice a huge discussion already on this topic which you could've shared your opinion on :). Also, maybe don't be so offensive in your next post; eg: don't refer to half the people on this site as fluffs.

Give each other respect. Yes, I appreciate that Sage has helped a lot of people and has years of experience. On the other hand, Awake is also very knowledgeable and I have noticed he's pretty much hits the nail on the head in the forums a lot.

Just stop fighting and accept each other's views. :)

That's fair. Had I seen the helpful nature I would have politely suggested he wait and see what happens with the rankings. However I did not... as was suggested, this is a new name that largely just displayed complaining.

I do see where you're coming from with this, but it's not as haggard as it seems at first glance.

As far as being part of the administration... Well, I was surprised with the role and kinda just poke at it when I see fit. If they take it away? I'll probably keep doing the same thing I always do.

I would like to say that the ranking system is only as positive or Negative as you make it individually. There will be people who are extremely upset with their ranking, some that arent and some that don't care.

There will also be different personal Views on what the title means besides the definition our Admin posted. Beginner doesn't have to be taken in a negative way, only people who decide its offensive will be offended. Its the same with anything.

Again though, when the admin ran the original ranking script it could have had many factors to see where to place people. Including number of posts or keywords on bio's. We aren't privy to the coding because its unnessary for us to see it or know exactly how it first ran.

I personally feel that the system will not hinder those who are serious about helping, and it wolnt automaticly detract intelligence points from people with brains. Its a good way to label obvious roleplay, or better yet to put a mark on people that are either intentionally or unintentionally trying to teach misinformation. That will help stop newbs from being taken advantage of and will help keep things in a more intelligent manner.

It seems to me that the vast majority of people posting threads Similar to this are intent on focusing only on the negatives and potential negatives and what they Percieve as an insult.

Wouldn't it be a more ammendable thing to realise:

A. Unless Pet decides its no longer worth keeping, its here to stay.

B. There *are* positive points to the system, if you Care to look.

C. This hasnt been done to spite any one individual person, its been done to lend a hand to the gesault whole. The whole IS mostly beginning people and newbies who have only had a couple months to a couple years under their belts. Don't go making it about you, whomever reads this, when its not a personal insult to begin with.

Instead of being upset with who is ranked above you, where you're ranked or Who did what.. could it be possible for the dissenters to simply acknowledge it is what it is and try to help better things? Is that too much to ask?
