Ok, some people have to meditate and ask for a power animal and others have them naturally. I have always had a wolf. Sometimes, it could be an animal you feel a VERY strong attachment to. On way is through meditation:
First, get into a relaxed state, duh! Imagiane yourself leaning against a tree, a large tree. Feel the wind around you, hear the waterfall in the background. You can feel the mist sprinkle lightly on you. See yourself get up and walk to the pool of water. Look closer, you can see a cave behind the waterfall. Walk through and into the cavern. As you enter you notice torches on the walls, they are light and new. Walk through the tunnel and examine the environment. As you walk along, you see a light, you also notice the torches are now put out as you exit. You walk into a clearing, the sun is shinning and it is the most beautiful area you've ever seen. Take in the environment for a moment and walk to a shade tree. Lay there for a moment and wait. After a few moments stand back up and walk a few steps toward the cave. You stop as you hear rustling in the bushes. You wait and an animal (the animal you see will be your power animal) walks out. You stare at eachother for a moment. It's weary of you at first. Try and talk with it. It may not approach you the first time, just like other animals, you have to give it time to trust you. It may run off and it may stay. After a while, thank it for coming and watch it leave. Walk back through the tunnel and the waterfall. Sit back under the tree and slowly come back to conciousness.
The animal may not tust you at first, you may have to repeat this for it to trust you. Mine is a wolf and is always around. They help you and increase your abilities. I see my partner as a brother, the bond will be strong. Keep at it! GOOD LUCK!
