the bible is full of mistranslations of many parts of the bible, and yes withcraft and magick are mistranslated such as sorcory is a mistranslations of poisioner or someone who trys to poision someone. also most verisions of the bible are edited by people that dont like magick and are affraid of it, so they change the verses about witchcraft and such.

In the bible....
Moses parting water
Jesus walking on water
Jesus turning water into wine
Jesus multiplying food
HELLO If they can use magick so can we.

As I understand it being a "witch" (I really don't like that term, it's a bit too feminine... can't I just call myself a warlock or something?!?!) is having the understanding and/or belief to do the supernatural, and doesn't really pertain to a religion, per say... However as I've noticed many use their religions to enhance their magickal ability. And thus, I (even though I'm completely new to the craft) believe that one can be a Christian and a (grr) witch. However a Christian and a Wiccan??? Dunno about that one...
Ignore me if I sound ignorant (notice the pun)

The term Warlock does not mean male witch, it means in modern Wicca Oath Breaker. The word is derived from the old English word waerloga which means 'one who breaks an oath"

Earlier in this thread I was accused of something I did not say (not unusual on this site). According to the original Christian teachings all other religions are Pagan. What I said was "All witches are Pagan". I did NOT say all Pagans are witches!
