Wonderful information Chaotic Thank you ...I havn't touched an Ouija board for many years now ..but as a young girl of around 12-13 yrs old I remember my father using one regular and participating with him...of course I had no real understanding of what it meant at that age or of what I was doing lol.

Very intresting post.

personaly i have trouble taking the ouija board seriously.

how can i take something serious that was also made and distributed by the parker bros, the same people who make and distribute monopoly.

im just waiting for someone to say that a monopoly board has magical powers and everytime you build a house on a site you are awakening the spirits on that land or something like that. pffft

I actually think its one of those things that if your told enough times and for long enough something is real psychologicaly you will actually start to believe it

I see ouija's as basic divination tools. We can use anything to "read". Tea leaves, sticks, candles, bones, entrails, tree bark, stains on clothes.... anything. literally ANYTHING. I have even read people from their Poker hands. (This is very similar to tarot) It is all about tuning into the person's frequency. I do not usually even bother with divination tools anymore because I realized I can read better by just tuning into the surrounding natural energies. I only whip out the divination tool box when I feel like being more theatrical, because that is what they are for: for show.
The reason the ouija gets such a negative response these days is because of stupid Parker Bros. The distributed it carelessly and without proper instructions all in the name of profits.

LOL true but you have to admit it was an excellent business move by the parker brothers, if anyting id call it quite satanic of them lol.

Using the hype of past orthadoxies and putting it in a new box.

i agree with what you have said about using anything to read people, probably the reason i am very sceptical of it as NO BODY has ever seemed to be able to read me ?

That's exactly my thought. Very sharp thinking indeed. I should get a patent on a box of sticks and try to market it.
I'll give you a reading anytime you like, darker. Just ask. I won't be chucking sticks into a fire or carving up wild game to do it either. I never read without direct consent. It's like looking in somebody's underwear drawer if you dont ask permission, I feel.

This is a great post choate, very informatve:D

I hear you Ang, I can read people like a book sometimes, Sometimes I can be wrong, but mostly, it only takes a few conversations or even a picture in my head, (like when my friend meets a new guy, I have told her all the info about him only for her to find out later, lol).

Wow, Mara, you seem to be surrounded by some nasty things, hope you're not trapped by anything, and hope you are doing okay (on many of the forums you seem to have a luscious amount of negative paranormal experiences :P) and overall a good thread.
