I am finding this quite alarming, This sounds like one of those sadistic cults that gives Satanism a bad name, human, animal sacrifices are always things linked to Satanism and that is so wrong.

I agree that the psychological effect on a person from taking part in such twisted rituals, would be rather devastating, especially to the younger generation who may already have self harm issues.

There is human sacrifice in Satanism but not in the physical sense, through ritual that involves no blood letting and no pain, but ultimately ending in the destruction of your subject.

I know the form of death spells you refer to and this is not that. These spells are made to actually cause death. Not always physical death, but some form of death anyways.

If there is one thing I can say to the physiology, it would be that you are probably right. The spells can take a toll on a human body, but as a general rule it is not the cutting that screws up the mind.

When I was a practicing patron, it was the feel that I couldn't leave, that I wasn't allowed to that ultimately screwed me up. If I had left months before I had, I probably would have been a lot better off. Yet once you're in, there's a connection there and it feels like you can't leave. Forcing myself to leave that magick, that coven, behind was a thousand times harder than any of the spells had been.

I also know what form of death spells you are referring to Jadiona the ones that are ultimately to cause harm and destruction. But in my understanding death spells in ancient Egyptian times were the ones i explained previously and were in no way like the ones you refer to, so basically i was giving the other meaning to death spells here:)

I cannot explain all the reasons that this religion was a 'good' religion, because I didn't even always agree. But as a general rule all spells were logical. The belief of taking blood-letting to in exchange help heal someone makes sense. For you exchange the health of one for the health of another.

In similar ways, you take so much upon yourself and you can reep that pain upon someone else. That is pain offerings are used for curse more often than not.

During the first year, when you are just studying and training all of this stuff is explained in extreme depth. In spite of the fact that it can be very upsetting, every offering or sacrifice is logical in terms of that spell.

I practiced Carkanism just under 18 months so I can say this with an actual guarantee. It isn't like people who were used in these spell were unwilling. We volunteered to do it. Though I can't guarantee our minds were exactly in the right place. As I mentioned in an earlier post, there was a feeling of belonging. You didn't really want to leave, for that matter it didn't feel like you could. Being part of Black Wicca coven, they made you feel like you were in a family.

To me specifically that was an important feeling, because I had been more or less living on the streets, sometimes without food. They were a family to me. The way they made me feel made it even harder for me to quit.

Next up, basic rules

May I be the first to say that I'm a horrid failure. I write about this religion for awhile and then I just disappear. Like they say, life happens, and my life has happened to go up in fire recently so...

Moreover I feel like I didn't explain this religion properly. There are thousands, if not millions of religions around the world. Most of which, you won't find reference of on the net. This is one of those religions.

Carkanism only has a handful of worshipers around the world. I am only aware of twenty covens in the US and probably less than a hundred total worldwide.

Carkanism is what a lot of people refer to as an occult belief, not even a true religion. Though those who practice it would heartily argue otherwise (and even those, like me, who are no longer practicing me members).

The only reference that I have ever found on the net is some brief references to black witchcraft cults in the 1600's, which as I already said is more or less when this silent faith was founded.

Okay tomorrow, or sometime in the next couple of day I will be posting the basic rules to this religion and then I plan on posting a simple spell before I pretty much stop posting on this thread, except to answer questions, so that I can focus on the Wicca thread.

I can't express the importance of the rules in this religions. The rules of this religion are meant to be there for the sake of safety. Carkanism is not a faith to joke around with and those who believe it is are fools.

Okay, onto the rules

1. Never, under any circumstance practice spells specific to Carkanism until after being initiated.

2. Initiation occurs one year and one day you start learning.

3. Never try a spell without others in your coven there to help and watch.

4. Carkanism isn't a faith to be practiced by a solitary witch.

5. The moon cycles are sacred, don't practice any black spell under a waning moon, the effects are horrific.

6. Always purify circles with salt prior to any spell or ritual

7. Athames should always be cleansed and purified after use (this goes for any item, but specifically should be obeyed for athames).

8. Curses should never be done within the first three years after initiation.

9. Logic and Karma are the two main ingredients when it comes to spells and rituals. Spells must balance the karmic circle and logically make sense.

10. Any spell that is not karmic-ally balanced will come back to you in three-fold.

These rule just barely scratch the surface, but they are the basics and the most important.

The only books I am aware of that make any true mention of this religion are a few old books on the history of Witchcraft. Witchcraft by Hughes Pennethorne makes a reference to the splitting of witch craft, as well as several other books. The truth is though, this religion is taught mostly by the book of shadows that have been left behind and what is like word of mouth.
