Grey is a color, magick technically has no color. Grey is used in magick only for general categorization. -_- I don't think you'll ever listen.

You're really going to try this now?

O.k, I'll play along with your game of trying to make me look bad in that you will look smart. I've dealt with plenty of people like you before.

--

Read my posts in this thread, you'll see that I am not ignorant to the fact that color is used to merely categorize magick.

Also, you'll notice that yes, magick can be considered only one ''type'' therefore no true types in that it is referred to as magick.

Although, they're many, many, many subgroups of magick that are so effectively different that there is indeed... different ''types'.

If you really knew magick as well as you think you do, you would have given me resources to back yourself up, you would have more proof on your side rather than just your own perspective and you would have proven me wrong with more than just resorting to acting like I don't know what I'm talking about.

If you really want to play THAT game, I'll take some hits at your spelling and grammar proving that you aren't quite the sharpest tack in the bunch.
Even as that would have helped me in the eyes of others, I didn't take a hit at your less than desired knowledge of the english language, instead I was using proof and knowledge that about 3 other people in this thread has agreed with.

I never said you called me stupid, I said you were taking a jab at my knowledge of what Shadow is.

Now stop trying to get the mysticism in here, and think rationally...
Disregarding everything you ever learned in magick (because ye in the end is thee who asks of which is fool and is the fool) remember first grade where you learned about shadows and you were all obsessed with yours?

Remember?

Now, remember what your teacher/parent(s) told you makes that shadow.
What they told you, is true.

The disruption on light , creates darkness .

I think this debate has gone on long enough.

You are both right.

Shadows are darkness within light, however the concept of shadows is more about balance then either light or darkness. Both light and darkness can be considered subtypes of chaos. Since shadows would not exist if darkness did not exist they can be considered darkness, however since shadows would not exist if light did not exist it is obvious they rely on light. A shadow is a representation of balance between light and darkness. Metaphorically it can be used for neutrality when seeing light as good and darkness as evil, but I shouldn't have to point out how ignorant such a comparison may be.

Lghtdark, perhaps this is why you should post where you get information from. Perhaps if you had sent Snow_Flame to the lesson I posted explaining this she would have understood sooner and this debate would not have taken place.

Disregarding magick and metaphor entirely, thus speaking purely scientifically, a shadow is the result of light not reaching a certain point(ie. being blocked by an object). If you stand in front of a flashlight the resulting shadow is an area of darkness.
