fear night n darkness

WHY do some fear the NIGHT or the DARK
both darkness and the night are mystical
if there was no darkness the light could not be
the night brings time time for ppl to rest why fear it ?

My dearesst friend one reason i belive people are afriend of darkenss is not the darkness but the evil that can be in the darkness .. such as evil demonic's and other bad .. very bad things .. some of witch are very powerful in witch u need to look out for .. many of these i have come across and they are not very nice ill tell you that .. yes the night and darkness is very mistical . but you do have to be very cariful

Merry meet luna, and i agree with you in the sence that there are things in the dark to fear and people that have come across them have a natural respect and view of it, but i think that people fear the night or the dark because they dont know whats there. They are afraid of what they dont see or understand.
That is only my opinion of course

Maybe I can give you an insight about it. When I was wery little about 2 or 3 years old(yes I have some memories from that period) I was so much scared from dark that the only way I can get sleep is by an shining light bulb. When I woke up in the middle of the night without any kind of light I was so scared that I screamed. I could swore I saw eyes in the dark. (What I now relaised is that yung children and babies have more developed sights that adults they even can see auras but later through years tehy are teached in a wrong way to see diferently what seems nomal to adults.)I remember why I was scared. I was scared coz I can`t sence what there was I couldn`t percive it. And the one of the human esential spark is the fear of unknown. I had a damn good reason to fear dark. an defensles child surounded by unknown and whatever lurks into the darknes. It would even be easier and not so scary to see what lurks but not to be able but to know that there is something with you. is beyond frightening.

Later through years I have learned to use my fear and bring it onto others. by giving me a perfect cover like a blanked. It hides me from others sight. Irony hahah

Well said to Skylab but a point I don't see mentioned here is that one thing those scared of the dark and night must remember is that "Dark does not always equate to evil just as light does not always bring good."
Although we should be wary of course of anything in the dark I find the dark is safer then the light.
In the dark we are constantly on our guard for we can not see as clearly. So anyone we see we know to make sure of them. The dark brings wisdom and skepticism which is a great attribute despite its bad rep.
In the light, we see all so why worry? That only makes it too easy for the evil to sneak up on you. What is a better hiding place than in plain sight, right in front of you?
I believe that Nyx's time, night, is the time when things are more closely revealed. When things are safer and more clear.
Another important point is although night can hide danger from your eyes it also hides you from danger's eyes.

i admit i was afraid of the dark.But im facing my fear. im learning there is something calling me something pulling me in the dark.so many people are afraid because they think the dark is too scary full of evil but there really is nothing to be afraid of.

I think people fear the dark because they only think bad things come from the darkness. I used to be scared of the dark, now the dark is one of my favorite places to be. but people fear the dark because they cant see, and that alarms them in a way, they dont know whats there, they feel uncomfortable that they cant see, that they arent in control its hard to explain

I think people fear it because they can not always see whats within it so they don't completely understand it and most people fear what they don't understand.
