I looked it up and now I remember reading it. For awhile I used the name of a Japanese god as a screen name, but these aren't the gods I'm asking about. They are the original gods used in D&D, but I want to know if anyone worships the ones we might call 'fantasy gods'.

Not I. Worshiping fake deities seems rather foolish to me.

Note: reason why I say they are fake is the disclaimer on the first page that says that the supernatural, magical etc found in this book is purely fictional.

I can not think of a better reason for not worshiping the gods in the D&D books. Tho some of the Gods are based (loosely) On historical ones.

Well using fictional god is creative.

Its useful for invocation of something that certain "god" may present,as its name being key word, mantra in invocation.

I used fictional god name once, results were pretty good.

Chad; Dragonlance books are very good. Tasslehoff is my favorite character.

Nex; your post reminded me that I want to look up the Japanese god of Sake. I'm going to get to that now.
