I do have a wand, cherry wood but I prefer to use my fingers for most things. They're convient and just remember wands and staves are tools that are up to your personal preference. I think it is more important to start out using just your fingers. If you can cast with your fingers you can cast anywhere.

I prefer staffs. (Not Staves)

Staffs my not be portable but it is a lot more powerful than a wand. Wands are to harry potter like forgoten said and I Harry Potter. It is a discrace to the wiccans name.

Staffs can also carry alot more power and it may be long tall and heavy(Depends) It is so much better than a wand that is so puny and weak. I also like carrying a crystal ball with me because It is kind of like an energy charger for my soon to be staff of beginnings

A wand an a staff are hard to compare because they have different uses. Like apples to oranges they are both friuts. A wand and a staff can not be compared after that. One is not better than the other for they each have their place.

I make both. Each one has qualities of it's own. I have several wands I use for different things. I only have one staff. If you should choose a staff remember it represents a bridge between unseen power and physical power (You can direct magic through it and clobber someone). So I say you learn to wield it well. There is nothing wrong with carrying both.

wands for me. I like to make them myself. A good thing to do is make a little compartment at the thickest part. (usually the bottom) And in the compartment ou could put many thing like an enchanted gem to make it more powerful, or sage so it will be more powerful when cleansing things and even more. You can even make a healing potion and put it in the compartment so that it will soak into your and and it will be good for healing magic. Just don't put to much of the potion in there. It could possibly ruin the wand. (It did for one of mine) It got all soft then it was totally ruined. But that is why I woild prefer wands. Well, plus, they are more easy to take to places. If you are going through a mall with a staff, they will probably think you are some man from the mountains. (Unless you are a man from the mountains then ou can carry them all you want). Wands are way better.
