Because satin feels really nice on the skin, and it's cheap! I prefer to call silk or muslin.

I'm just teasing, :p

Demons are not inherently evil. In common language, "demon" is applied to nearly anything spiritual which frightens us, harms us, or runs on an agenda of its own. Humans like to be in control and as soon as we encounter something with enough intelligence to defy us or mess up our schedules, it *has* to be evil .

"Demon" comes from a word (daemon) meaning simply "spirit" without regard to polarity. If someone chooses to call a more negative, stereotypical demon, that's his/her own business -- but not all beings who are labeled "demon" are like that. I usually come across the separation of "Spirits" (positive or neutral spirits) and "Demons" (the negative, mean sort), but it depends on how the magician uses the term.
