I hear it quite a lot through out the day, and I sometimes use it too.
In words that I'm not repeating on here, lol.
According to Christian beliefs, it's a place where you're damned to go to if you've sinned.
However, in most religions, Hell is a place where your soul goes to burn off karma.
I'm not sure where my beliefs stand in this because there is no Satan.
Satan is an Aztec name for the planet Venus.
To them, Venus was a jealous planet, because you could see all the other planets including Pluto with a very good telescope on a clear night in the sky, but not Venus.
They also mention something about making human scarifices at dawn before the sun rose as they thought that if they did not do this (or something along these lines) "Satan" (Venus) would come and take the sun away from them.
Christians and the like have taken the name Satan to describe their devil.
I'm sorry if I've offended anyone by typing out this post, that really wasn't my intention.
So yeah, I really am not sure what I believe to be honest.

Wait, you can see venus in the night sky even WITHOUT a telescope, but never mind about that. For me the word 'Hell' is a verb; it's the negative process of what your soul goes through after life depending as karmatic law if you've done bad deeds in your life.

I agree with Magickprince. Hell is what happens when u do bad and pay for it by the law of Karma. I don't believe in the whole rule of three thing, i think it just represents how karma works, but not times three. If you go by the tree of life, then there is no hell. There are ten sepiroths, each being a different plane. The first ours, second the astral and so on. The others are the planes where spirits reside. Demons, angels, elementals, and all the rest.

In my opinion "Hell" is a place, a nexus of negative/dark energies that are focused.

A place where the darker energies are supreme.

Not a place for human souls to be tormented, a home to spirits that have negative energy. ect.

To me hell is a place for a second chance, not a place where souls get tortured for eternity, but a place where the soul stops to cleans itself from karma to continue it's growing process, without hell the soul would only have one chance, if they get it wrong they fall beyond the void, so really, hell to me is like a second home, filled with ancient teachers and wisdom, most old souls have stoped there at least once, do the effort to remember it, or better yet, keep yourself open enough till you touch hell on the etheric planes and discover the truths for yourself.

If you read my other post I say that I don't believe in it..
That's just something that I've read and heard about.
It's also my friends opinion when we was talking about it yesterday.
