I always understood this as, everyone has a Daemon. They are your guardian from greek mythology I believe but they exist on an astral level just like everything else xD And demons were just that...demons.
It's Nightshade that said that, and he is right. By "not reachable" he means we can't reach it. We can Astral Project to the Astral Plane, but you can't Astral Project to where these 'Daemons' live.
I'd also like to add that I use the Native American terms, so I call these 'Daemons' Spirit Guides. I don't like to use the word 'Daemons' because it is to commonly associated with 'Demons' and I don't want to deliver the wrong message when teaching about Spirits.
As for Vampyres and Magick, I don't use those words because spell-check says they're wrong. Vampire and Magic are both correct, according to spell-check, so to avoid the annoying red lines I use them. I didn't realize there was any difference other then one letter, however.
Well I've seemed to start associating the spelling 'demon' with good and neutral demons and the spelling 'daemon' with evil ones. No idea why but the letter 'a' seemes to conjure up the image of blood in that word.
Well, in my experience, 'daemons' are the real spiritual beings that often take animal shapes and guard us, tech us, and grow can grow into a spiritual guide of sorts. 'Demons' are a load of Hollywood hogwash. But that is just my experience.

You are responding to a post from 2009. :P
Demons are born not of Hollywood, but Judeo-Christian mythology and interpretation of the Greek Daemon. The two are not so different, it is more a perception that anything not close to, and revering, "God," is therefore of Satan and influenced by evil. There have been numerous recent posts about this that detail the etymology of this word and trace the history of the entity and its perception back to Devas, the first polytheistic religions, etc. Those would perhaps be a better place to discuss it.
