Summoning a deity

To a degree yet, but only our ancenstors who have finished their own paths of life, thus a part of their being can be, or they can act as a spirit guide, if it is an ancestor looking after you you will feel the presence of family, hard to describe but it will almost feel like a warm comforting hug from a parent figure..

Absolutely. I'm actually planning on attempting to contact the realm of the dead. Need to study protective spells first though.

if you are gonna be trying to enter the realm of the dead drop Forgotten a message on the site he will be able to help you out and tell you what you need to watch out for. Protection spells aren't necessary if you are powerfull enough and possess no fear or mental weakness for them to exploit. If you enter with no fear and full respect you will be fine, if things get intense create a golden energy bubble around you and just expand it to a distance you feel safe with. hope this helps.

Can an ancestor evolve into a deity ? I hear that voodoo priest and priestesses can actually become deities when they have passed on, is that true?

Yes, anyone holds this potential, but to reach it you need to reach a certain level of energy and understanding while in this physical life, this is how lesser Deities ae born, hope this helps ;)

She is a very powerful Goddess to summon...I always summon her on my Full Moon rituals to add strength to my spells and have her blessings.
