Personal Bio
My name is Malia, but you may call me Aud. The name Aud is a variant of the old French name Auda, or Aude, meaning prosperous. It is a name that I have chosen for myself, which holds personal meaning. I am new to this site. When I was in middle school, around the age of 13, I became interested in the craft. I borrowed all of the books on witchcraft and its history that I could find, and I had several notebooks full of information that I had painstakingly gathered. I began practicing. One day, my mother found one of these notebooks. She immediately insisted that I return everything, and I never saw anything of the books or my notes again. Now, six years later, I am again finding myself interested. It never felt wrong to me, when all I wanted was to learn. Now I realize that the only time I have ever felt at home with who I am was when I was trying to learn about magic. I feel like it has always been a part of me, and it is time for me to discover more about that part. I am here to learn, and hopefully make some positive changes in my life. ----- "If you swear that there's no truth, and who cares, why do you say it like you're right?" Bright Eyes "Gaudeamus igitur / iuvenes dum sumus" (Thus, let us rejoice while we are young.) "Will you always attend my midnight tea parties, as long as I always set your place?" Emilie Autumn "And now to dress the wounds called into question how authentic they are. There is always someone criticizing me, "she just likes playing hospital." Lying in my bed, I remember what you said, there's no such thing as accidents." Amanda Palmer "Memento homo quia pulvis es et in pulverem reverteris" (Remember man, that you are dust, and unto dust you shall return.) "Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense." Buddha "There were never any good old days, they are today, they are tomorrow. It's a stupid thing we say; cursing tomorrow with sorrow." Gogol Bordello "There's lots of smart ideas in books I've never read." Jimmy Eat World "Plus ca change, plus c’est la meme chose." (The more things change, the more they stay the same. (The accents went all wonky so I took them out.)) "I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." Mohandas Gandhi
