|I suppose I would have to say I am a middle-aged woman, but that would be admitting I am over 40. I do not feel like I am over 40 (except sometimes in the morning when the bones are creaking).
I have recently become a single mother. I've been a mother for seven and a half years, the single part just came about this past spring when I divorced my adulterous husband. It hurt deeply at first, but I have come to terms with it, and realize it is actually a blessing. I always try to find the good in the worst situations. I think that is why the Legion of Light and Dark is so appealing to me.
I've always, as far back as I can remember, had what some would call unusual tastes or "likes". I root for the villain, for without them, there would be no need for heroes; without the darkness, there is no need for light, etc. There has to be a balance or else you have chaos.
My bio pic is of my second tattoo; only about a month and half old. My first is, coincidentally, a yin yang symbol with black and white dolphins comprising the inner halves. Both were carefully chosen to represent my beliefs in balance. With the elements, I have been studying how many ailments in life could be the result of one or more element being either lacking or over-abundant, and healing consists of balancing the elemental levels.
I have been a solitary "dabbler" in the arts for many, many years. I think I actually tried my first incantation in eighth grade (it didn't work...yet, but I still have hope.) I have had a lot of success with candle and crystal magic and I'm looking to become more knowledgeable and expand on my abilities. I find that the secret to my success, which is a secret I am willing to share with all who care to learn, is to ask only for what is necessary for your happiness in life, and don't try to overindulge. It is then that the Goddess smiles favorably on me and I am usually successful in my workings.
I am a teacher by trade. Whenever I learn something new, I immediately begin planning how I could teach it to someone else. I still have an awful lot to learn, but would be happy to share what I know and what works for me.
