Is it just a placebo effect? Someone told me that my type of spell casting derived from white magick mysticism and that it's based on the belief of my mindset. Something about setting my mind, setting myself through a pseudospell(I don't know what he meant). Then I will begin to behave in a way that'll result in what I want.

He also said that it's similar to the placebo effect and that the unconscious behavioral change would lead to a desired outcome in what psychology refers to as a self fulfilling prophecy.

He concluded that the whole basis of white magick is the use of pseudospells and meditative rituals to affect attitudes and behaviors to result in a desired outcome. He says it's often confused with real magick.

The example I gave him was about money. How I ask the universe for money. I create a bubble of safety. Then through meditation, visualization, and intention. I'm very specific on the who, when, where, and how much I'll receive the money. Then I would release that to the universe and forget about it.

So my example of spell casting isn't real magick? What is real magick anyways? My example of how I do these spells is something I consider real magick compared to a mermaid spell.
