hey i just have studiet a littel in fire and i just think that the fire that we see is the arura of the heat i know somwhon who can hold his hand over a candel and get down to the bottom of the fire and turn the fire of whit his fingers whiout pain he is a fire element so i think it could be the aura we see and the heat we can feel anyone thats can say that im rigt or worng :D
