Help please...

I am a beginner and do not know much about spell casting but have been reading quite a number of spells involving candles --- even in casting a circle.

Can anyone please guide me on what to replace candles with?
Candles are definitely not allowed in where I will be staying and I would want to continue learning.
Help please...
