I've been working on shortening the time it takes between having finished the energy work and releasing the spell to therefor activate it. As is it the release of that energy that impact that returns a magical result, what I've found is that some spells that use to take a while to complete now are basically instant, I attributed to this at first to my experience of repeatedly using them over the past 20 years year , like how training a muscle will eventually make it easier to lift x amount of weight , but now I've begun noticing that more "high level" stuff is basically instant, such as how I can now astral project in a few seconds whereas before I had to do a whole little ritual. But then, how can I do that basically instantly when doing a protection spell takes longer than a few seconds? I will create energy orbs and throw them at the target, or into the sky if I'm doing remote spell casting but then I find I still have more energy coming out of my hands and have to throw them again. So I decided to put all the energy into the energy orbs at once then release and it feels and looks like (for those who can see energy) like I'm throwing beams of energy out of my hands. I hate how it looks from the perspective of non witches , whereas there are some "simple" (to me) spells that are literally like I say the incantation and wave my hand or something simple like that and I'd released all the energy, like not literally a wave of my hand , but I mean that's very "instant" when it comes to releasing the energy and being done. I don't think I need to practice more energy manipulation so much as I need to invent or find a fresh technique or a adjustment to my current technique because I don't know why this happens aside from just "practice the spell until you can do it "instantly""
