This morning in class, we were doing an assignment. I took one of the books and I was trying to get to the correct page when I stumbled upon a black feather. It had a smooth top while below, it was more ruffled and messy. At first, I thought of this as a stroke of luck because I needed a feather for meditation purposes. I wanted the feather to look nice, so I tore away the ruffled mess that was stuck to it. I kept the feather safely tucked away in my Prose Edda. It wasn't until the last period of the day when I showed my friend and my mentor in witchraft and the pagan way that he said it was a sign. I'm thinking it could be a sign from Freyja or Odin but I'm not 100% sure.

So my main question is: What does receiving a black feather signify in the Norse religion?
