I like to know how others feel about the use of animals in magick. Now I'm not talking about Goat+Alter=Mess or even Anthropomancy but more the use of animals and animal products in spells.

From tallow in candles to powdered parts of animals. I have many books that include the use of things like live spiders, snake skins and powdered beetles. I know there is something of a cultural element to this as some paths include more use of animals than others.

So how do we feel as a group:

Is the use of any animal unconscionable?

Are some animals ok but others not?

Or If the spell calls for it we can't be squeamish?
