Thank you very much for this post WhiteRaven! I just tonight got interested in Runes and your posts here have cleared up all but one of my questions on Rune Magick! And i really had alot of them, so thats really saying something.
Please I'm new to this runic symbols but I had some galaxy rune application in my lost phone which I used daily and watched the effects and it appeared to be real. Please could you teach me the symbols and their meanings I really want to start creating my own runes. Thanks.
Hello whiteraven. I'm new to this site and found this piece very interesting. Can I ask... When reading a rune cast do you read an inverted rune negatively. I know some runes are more negative than others and have often wondered why should more negativity be added just because a rune is inverted. Thankyou.... Mark
Hail Raven! I have been looking and searching everywhere for a runic formula for fertility.. and other possible aspects to fertility of a female for my fiancé.. any help will be appreciated!
Stephen Flowers/Edred Thorsson's books are probably the best source for Rune Magick. He has all the scholarly cred one could want (a PhD from the Germanic Languages department at The University of Texas--Austin) and a decidedly non-academic writing style.(On the other hand, his Rune Gild strikes me as a bit too much like the Golden Dawn Order gone off playing Viking.)
I agree, Horatius! I have a lot of respect for Steven Flowers, BUT... and it's a big BUT, he likes to mix his academic knowledge with his ceremonial magick background. And he does it in a way that suggests it's traditional Norse information. Since he writes with such great confidence and clarity, it strongly sells his theory and practice.
Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed every book I've read of his and recommend them, but they definitely have that "Golden Dawn" angle you shouldn't ignore.
