Just to keep warm from anywhere from a couple of minutes to a couple hours. You still might be a bit numb, but you'll stay warm. You may need to keep recasting it every so often but it should still work so no worries.

You wouldn't mock someone who would pray to God for guidance and magick is similar, just calling on a different force for guidance. This chant is meant to build magickal energy in your body. Magick can increase your body temperature. I've cast many circles where we called on the fire element and became very warm as a result [the circle also shielded wind so we couldn't feel it as strong until someone accidentally broke the circle]
