Cracked Geode

Description

One of the beautiful wonders of nature, geodes are mineral formations that reveal wonderous arrays of crystals when cracked open. Theorized to form when bubbles form in volcanic stone and mineral deposits are left behind by water, they are nonetheless magical and mysterious in their egg-like appearance, displaying magnificent and varied arrays of crystals within an often less-than beautiful exterior. Here you will find one geode cracked in half, measuring approximately 4" in diameter though exact sizes and shapes will vary as these are a product of nature.
