That is a very dangerous thing to be asking for. Kids react differently than adults and dosages vary widely. Nor do we know what specific sleep issues they might have and that makes a huge difference in treatment regimens. If they aren't sleeping through the night, then I'd recommend checking with their pediatrician about what might help.

Here's an article on sleep medications for children which would also apply to herbal potions. It explains why such sleep aids are not recommended. https://www.choosingwisely.org/patient-resources/avoid-sleeping-pills-for-children-with-insomnia/

There is an excellent article on sleep disorders in children at https://www.aafp.org/pubs/afp/issues/2014/0301/p368.html but before you self-diagnose your child, talk to your pediatrician.

By any chance is the child teething? Painful gums where teeth are coming through can certainly disrupt their sleep. My grandmother used to dip her finger in whiskey and rub it on my gums and that can help. But again, talk to your pediatrician.

Is it safe to use whiskey on teething aged children?

I might just be paranoid/anxious.

It's what our ancestors commonly used. Just dip your finger in the whiskey and rub it on their gums. It's not like you are having them drink any amount.

Lark, using whiskey to help a baby with teethingis an outdated practice that is no longer thought to be safe. Here are some sources:

https://medlineplus.gov/ency/article/002045.htm

https://www.babymed.com/whiskey-is-risky-for-teething-baby#

https://pediatricdentalassociatesal.com/teething/

There are many more sites in the search I did that do not support using whiskey for teething with a baby.

Lavender tea regulates the adrenals and reduces the shock from daily activities, so that one can rest. It might not knock you out but it certainly can start the process of going to sleep.
