Did you work with and have you received what you were seeking? I'm asking because I need help with my goals but can't seem to reach a certain spirit to assist me. I know they need offerings and all which I'm willing to give them. Just didn't seem to work so far.
The most helpful advice I can give is to take some time to clarify for yourself what you want, and to figure out what sorts of beings align with your goals. Different spirits (and deities) have their specialties- things they govern or that are otherwise within their sphere of influence.
For example, Mars is a God of War (specifically ferocity of battle, aggression, and open combat) so he would be ill-suited to contact if you are looking to learn about healing or self-betterment. Just like in life where you wouldn't ask a philosophy professor to teach you calculus.
If you can give details on what your goals are, it would be easier to give suggestions on which deities/beings would be helpful.
To actually answer the question you asked, I work with Dragons- well, A dragon, mostly. I connected with him as a spirit-guude with a goal of personal betterment, actualization, Self realization, and connecting with energy. ...A fancy way of saying I wanted help growing personally and spiritually. And yes I have been receiving what I was seeking. Sometimes in very unexpected ways.
But I also had to commit to a lot of work and study. He has helped me in many ways over the years, and helped me learn a great deal about myself. Also a force of protection when I needed it. But the actual work done on myself was all my own effort.
Dragons can be intense to work with though, they frequently instigate sudden and deep change/personal transformation. So if a dragon decides to take you under their wing (pun intended) you can expect to get your proverbial foundations rocked hard a few times.
In a nutshell; If you have a field you want to grow, a guiding spirit will show you the tools, even teach you how to use them. Maybe supply the seeds. But you're the one who must turn the soil, plant them, and bring those seeds to life.

In honesty, it is better to start letting us know what goals you want help with, so we can share what kinds of beings/deities are suited to those goals.
Getting a name, calling on it, then hoping that being is able to help you is effectively working in backwards order. The only way you will gain from it is through trial and error until you get a lucky success. If at all.
If you are looking for help with the pipes in your house, we would know to recommend a plumber. Looking for spiritual protection, we would know to recommend a deity or guardian with that in their wheelhouse. Specific profession for a specific problem.
Without knowing what you want to accomplish, any suggestions we gave would be a shot in the dark, in an open room where there may not even be a target to hit.
Honestly ancestral and passed human spirits have communicated the best information for me.
I find nonhuman entities to communicate more nonsense for the purpose of their own amusement. At least that is how it has been for me personally.
