I'm looking for a spell or charm or whatever that I can use to erase someone else's memory or memories.
If you can help that'd be great. My best friend needs to erase someone's memory of specific stuff so that they will quit hexing and cursing her
It is not possible to change the past or erase memories indirectly. The only known method is direct hypnotism with a willing participant, which only represses the memories, which could still come back to the surface at a later time.
Perhaps consider something like a freezer spell or cord cutting to either enfluence the other person to stop or to cut all ties with them.
That's one of the unfortunate truths of magic. It doesn't always work, and there are many factors to consider when determining why a magical operation failed. All things considered, that's probably a good thing even though it can be frustrating. Based on what I know, here's what I think might be going on.
IN the case of a binding, it could be that the target has a very strong will or powerful protections in place. This is likely one possibility if they're also a witch. I'm not sure about why a cord cutting would fail, but my guess would be that there's no cord to cut in the first place, there's more than one cord that needs to be cut, or maybe the cord will take more than one operation to sever completely.
Also, keep in mind that for these things to work at all, clear intention and lack of doubt are very helpful. That goes for both you and your friend if you're casting on her behalf. If she wants this person in her life at all, that can work against the magic or make it fail altogether. If she has doubts about her magic working or feels guilty, that won't help things either.
Another thing to consider is if this person is truly hexing your friend or if it's simply psychology at play. If she's telling your friend that she's hexing her and your friend believes it to be so, then that belief can be just as powerful, maybe even more so than if someone really is hexing her. Think about all those people who swear they're under psychic attack when no such thing is happening. So unless you can verify with certainty that your friend is being hexed, this might also be the case.
