excuse me, so i've done this spell and it was the first spell i've ever done which is considered a advanced one. when performing it layed a set of gemstones such as quartz and tigers eye and sage as protection, while performing it i felt a hatred and as if the words that came from my mouth were so powerful like it gave these huge vibrations like energy that i felt, but nothing happened, i didnt feel as if it worked, so when i ran through the comments i kinda freaked out because of how powerful it is, but kinda in doubt because its only enchanting and only used candels, so ive confessed to my mom today and she totally panicked and said it could backfire on me so here i am, any tips or anything to say?

All spells are capable of backfiring. There are different levels of spell backfire depending upon different things. The caster, the working, or the energy put in.
As for tips my main would be to avoid casting a hex as a first spell. Hexes actually involve quite a bit of learning, and to really understand how to perform them one should consider learning how to both cast them and protect themselves from them. Those protective techniques then can be used to both counter hexes and avoid, or re-direct backfires.
As for what to do now if you are worried of backfire, a cleansing bath or shower can help. After try and relax a little. Backfires though unpleasant are another way we learn.
Keep in mind that when you release energy into the natural world the intensions behind the spells can determine the likelihood of their backfiring on you.
If you cast with the intension of affecting or impacting another person without their knowledge or consent; regardless if it was for good or ill, and that energy does not land then it has to go somewhere. Once deflected often that energy will travel on the path of least resistance which is back on its own trail and that of course leads strait back to you. That is the inherent risk is releasing this type of energy.
Yes you can try and protect yourself using crystals and other spells to shield but as CrystalSeer has pointed out it can still backfire on you. In order for crystals and other items to act as protection you have to infuse them with your energy. You are in effect using your energy to shield yourself from your own energy. That is tough because your energy “knows” your energy.
If when you cast it is done as a selfless act, is intended for a positive or pure outcome or is done with the consent and/or participation of the person it is intended for the likelihood of that backfiring on you is greatly reduced. If this type of energy does not land, does not work, then it tends to dissipate. If it does return then by the very nature of the energy is not a threat and causes no harm to the sender, maybe only disappointment or a feeling of loss. Understand the intent on which it was cast is radically different. There is some merit behind the Wiccan Rede: “And it harm none, do what ye will”.
