Not So New & Advice

Hey, I'm trying to start anew so I made another SoM account. I had one a long, long time ago (like 2009 long when I got my first Dell laptop), but now that I'm not, like, 8 anymore I thought I would introduce myself. However, I thought I would ask some advice probably from some older witches out there. I'm going into the navy and wanted to know if there were any luck/sea spells you know of that can keep me going? I'm a Celtic pagan and I need something short and sweet for taps because when the lights go out, my brain goes out. I don't wanna be praying to myself for an hour in my rack. I have a few, but I was wondering if there were any that didn't sound like, well, in all honesty just me being a nervous little wreck on a piece of paper, lmao.

Anyways, glad to be right back where I started, it's sort of refreshing. And sorry if I sound awkward, that's because I am.

Off the top of my head there is a section on boats and sea in the book Scottish herbs and fairy lore by Ellen Evert Hopman. There is another section as well devoted to fishing magic. This is along the line of Celtic magic so the book may interest you.

A simple sea spell for luck is the idea of a boat blessing. A blessing of the ship with a bottle of wine or even better ale.

Another charm could be to carry a shell with you for blessings and luck. One you find could work relatively nicely.

That said there are books as well on the subject of sea magic though not many.

I have practiced sea magic in the past as a sailor for myself and family.

The only reason I do not currently is I am not currently sailing often, and getting to the beach despite living nearby can be rarer than it should be.

Omg I never knew about these works, thank you so much. I'll definitely be doing some reading before I go off haha :)
