Most used methods.
By:

Hi.

I was reading back in my book of shadows regards divination methods and found lately, the past three months there have been three methods I've mainly used and written about. There is another method I have used but have not written results or readings down.

It gave me this thread idea.

What are your most frequently used forms of divination? How or why do you use this method?

Mine.

  • Oracle- I often use fortune telling oracles for week ahead spreads. This gives me a general idea as to the way the week may progress.
  • Scrying- Often I will meditatively scry. I can learn quite a bit in general in this manner and much pertains to my spiritual path, and as well lessons to learn.
  • Pendulum- I love to use this both for divination and finding lost items. I recently lost a singular lot I had made, and used a pendulum to find it. I use this method for simple yes and no questions. Curiosities. Things to look forward to.

What about you all? What are your most frequent divinatory methods, and why and how do you use them?

I like to use dreams as a form of divination. They are always 100% accurate if you can decipher them well and you can do it every night. Every dream tells you something and you can even use them to talk to entities.

I tend to use dreams or tarot. I will ask myself a question before bed and always given an answer the following night through dreams. I will also use tarot if I feel like I need to. It just works best for me.

Dreams are interesting regards precognition.

I have had a couple precognitive dreams lately. I have had one I remember in the past as well. It usually is something right before waking where later that day that thing will be spoken of or come about.

Precognitive dreaming I consider more to be related to psychic ability than divination itself, yet it is wonderful to practice and develop by writing our dreams down, and looking back on later.

Another question related to divination:

  • Do you practice divination for others, and do you use the same methods for others as you do for yourself?

Personally there are not many whom I will divine for other than myself. There is one person whom comes to me for readings and that is my mother. My grandmother and her mother read oracle and tarot. My mother doesn't really use oracle herself. After my grandmother passed my mother has come to me for readings and lately spellwork as well. Other than that I do not read for others. Not many know I use oracle.

As to the second part of the question the methods I use for divining for others are oracle, or lots. With oracle I can read about a month ahead whereas with lots I can look about 6 months ahead, so generally I enjoy using lots, but I will let the querent, usually my mother, decide.

Does anyone else here read for others? What are your guidelines if any? Do you use the same method for others as you do yourself?

I used to read for others, but I put the cards away when many of the people who came to me had been either rude, or disrespectful and the few that we're actually willing to listen was a low number for me. So, I mainly read for myself now and despite having tarot cards I don't really need them that often unless I find myself with a question that I have been stuck on for days.

Both methods are the same for me when it comes to other people and myself. I tend to stick to something that I know rather than using something new on someone else. I used to read for my family, but often found myself standing down after a while once I noticed that reading for a family memberwas also being disrespected and closed my doors to them. I am now very fussy on who I read for and why I should.

I use stones with yes or no questions. This is because I don't really like interpreting signs since I prefer more concise stuff. So I use the stones. I ask them a question, then I'll pick out the first one I touch.

I've also used liberomancy (also known as bibliomancy). I use a book and ask a question. Then I look at the phrase or line where my finger landed. I know I said I didn't like interpretation, but most specific questions in divination often require this, so I just decided to go with it. I interpret the words, and look at how I see the sentence or phrase my finger falls on.

I usually like reading tea leaves, also called tasseography or tasseomancy I find it interesting also tarot cards and readings and also dreams although I always use multiple other but these are just the main ones a I use I also tend to not practice divination on others but I did before and I tended to keep it with the main methods I use and know I stopped doing it for others and just myself for the reason that most people were disrespectful so now I just do it for myself
Blessed Be
