Telepathy is not like it is done in the movies. Empaths are able to do it because thoughts are energy and empaths are able to read energy. Thus, able to read people thoughts. However, this is only done through small comments here and there. As the empath is able to feel what the person hearing. Such, as getting an idea to weed the garden only to find out a roommate is doing it because it was actually their thought and there's. There would be no such spell that would work for this since it comes naturally to others or it doesn't.
Telepathy isn't real. Clairvoyance or empathy are. If your friend is struggling to control their abilities, you could try energy work such as grounding and shielding, meditation, wearing stones or charms to absorb extra energy and/or block spirits from contacting you, setting barriers in your home, stating rules can set psychic barriers [spirits can contact me from 5-7pm] and practice working with these abilities to better understand them.
You say clairvoyance is real and I am wondering if you mean clairvoyance only, such as internal imagery, or if you allow for other clair abilities such as clairaudience or clairsentience?
I group all the clairs together. I'm clairvoyant and clairaudient, but the most common seems to be clairvoyant, so I'm just using that one and a general term for all of them. What I think telepathy is, is people with clairaudient or some form of prophetic abilities [I have prophetic dreams] but true telepathy as seen from, say, Professor Xavier, isn't possible at this moment in reality. I don't rule out the possibility of one day someone with strong psychic abilities dedicates themselves to their craft they might unlock this hidden potential, but I'm 99% certain telepathy isn't possible [but it's one of those topics like aliens I don't believe in, but if you do, I'm not about to argue you on it]
I actually agree with your perspective here. I was simply wondering if you as well allow for other clair abilities. My experience has been a mix. Though clairvoyance is prominent for me as well.
