I met my fortune teller today, she said how this year will be, what should I do on this year, and how my life will be going. and informations about myself.
You have to understand cultural base in here.
Legit Shammans(Mu-Dang) is trditionally really chosen one by Holy deities and their medium. They must be a shamman. If they deny it, they lost them self or their family.. and so on.
They have to devote their deities choose them. It's very tough path.
Back to the point. I just wanna know what should I do for this year and what will happen.
And She, fortun teller said I have a spirituality potencial.
But she said it is not powerful as to be a shamman. But I can be fortune teller like tarot reader.
I've hear similar word from other shamman I know.
she said "You have spiritual abilty but it is not unlocked and you're affect by your ancestor."
So I'm so confuse what path I should I walk through?
I wanna be a good fortune teller and also I work with spirits or other deities.
Traditional path is not for me as they said.
But I have a potencial.
you are the creator of your world. What ever you desire to be you can achieve.. Just a small step that might help you, Respect and Believe in yourself!
What stands out to me in your post is that you mention being affected by your ancestor. I think that this is something to learn more about, to understand your ancestor through ceremony or meditation, maybe this will give you some kind of answers that you need.
Otherwise this is up to you, you know yourself and your deities best, developing your intuition and relationship to your tools (oracle and tarot cards) would also be a good idea in my opinion. Maybe your path will even change as you move forwards and learn more about your abilities and style.
I do suggest that you do some deep reflection and learn about why your spirituality is not unlocked, I think that in a lot of cases many people need that kind of inner understanding before choosing a path.
Personally EllyI'd be wary of another, shaman or tarot reader, or not; telling me anything related to my spiritual abilities and whether they feel they are locked or not.
A spiritual ability or clair or psychic ability is typically open. It only needs to be utilized and developed.
I wonder if it is you are paying this card reader?
Also I see no real reason you shouldn't study your areas form of Shamanism if you'd like to. Yes in many traditions a shaman is taught by a teacher. There are actually other traditions where a shamaic practitioner is both chosen and taught by local spirits the practitioner works with.
It certainly is no easy path and involves much of common sense and protection and cleansing work to deal with certain spirits.
But if you have interest in such a path there is no reason you can not research and study it if you want.
As for which path you want to walk it can be a path entirely of your choosing, Elly. In fact you can continue to work with tarot and other divination tools, and still practice a form of shamanic practice.
In honesty from your postings here I think a shamanic path would fit very well with you. :)
