Interesting Haitian Vodu

There are many books out there about the African culture and arts, I found this one good. I like the writer.
I understand the religious aspect and the arts, but still prefer to practice with friends when they do something. I'm of a Northern path, but the book was still interesting.

The Haitian Book of Vodou by Kenaz Filan is also a good resource on the subject.

Actually, I encountered quite a number of Vodou practitioners who actually rejectKenaz Filan, particularly in regards to his openwhite supremacist leanings (which is rather ironic for what he's been practicing) and how he plagiarizes and makes up things in his books. In any case, I'd stay clear of him and would recommend something else like "Mama Lola."
