I realize I truly know nothing when it comes to spirituality. Everything can be faked by the mind, down to dream states or imaginary tinglings down your arms as you “feel” the energy. I have tried so long to find concrete evidence, but the best I can come is hearing from you, the people on this website and their spiritual experiences. And there never seems to be a consensus when speaking about spiritual creatures, angels, or god. Or even the spiritual world in general. So I have a few questions regarding all of this now that’s the intro is done with
1) What is magick? Why do you believe?
2) what are your thoughts on the afterlife?
3) Do the supernatural exist? Do they effect us at all?
4) Is any of this tied to astral projection?
5) who is god/gods?
Any these I’m greatly interested in the why behind your beliefs. Any answers are greatly appreciated, I look forward to hearing your perspectives.
With spirituality, and religion there is no concrete evidence. Every individual human on this earth will have different perspectives of how they view spirituality and even the world itself.
I believe in parapsychology as my 'spiritual' beliefs to say. Where it's paranormal psychology basically, how the paranormal effects the human mind and so forth.
1) For 'magick' I will say that I only believe in subliminal/and some types. I semi believe in love/lust magick to an extent. I believe that magick works to a extent but it's mostly the person themselves who do what they intend to do.
2) I think there is multiple different kinds of afterlife. Personally I think we have multiple layers to us. To say a soul is like another consciousness in itself.
3) The supernatural like werewolves, vampires, mermaids, etc. Dont exist in the real world. However, I do believe in demons, angels, and 'entities' as different forms of consciousness.
4) I dont believe in astral projection but I know others do.
I'm going to be answering this from an eclectic, polytheistic pagan perspective [just some context as certain religious/spiritual paths might answer these differently]
1) What is magick? Why do you believe?
Magick is a natural, neutral energy found in nature that brings change. On the physical plane, this energy is ruled by nature and can't contract nature. On different planes of existence, it would work differently, but here on earth, it works with nature to bring change. It isn't good or evil, black or white, but when we interact with this energy [in spells or daily life] it gains a positive or negative change and can influence our lives.
2) what are your thoughts on the afterlife?
Personally, we reincarnate. Some may go to Summerland [a personal heaven to recharge before reincarnation] or become a spirit who wanders the earth until they are ready to be reborn, but eventually, we will be reborn. Maybe as grass, a person, an animal, or just some random energy in the universe, but eventually we begin the cycle again.
3) Do the supernatural exist? Do they effect us at all?
By "supernatural" do you mean ghosts, werewolves and zombies on the physical like in Harry Potter? No [with the except of "ghosts" as spirits, but physical shape-shifting werewolves, bloodsucking vampires, and reanimated corpses, no] Do I believe in astral or spiritual versions of these things, yes. Beings like faeries, werewolves, mermaids, vampires [ignoring psi vampires] are spiritual/astral creatures you can work with in your craft. [I've worked with Dragons, spirits, and faeries, and have come across demons, gargoyles and werewolves on my path, though I haven't worked with them, but I know people who do] How these beings affect us, it depends. You can work with them in your craft, similar to deity, though sometimes these beings choose to mess with us for whatever reason. Think of it like going for a hike in the woods, you might come across a wild animal. That animal might simply observe you and move on, attack, or walk up and hope for a snack from your lunch.
4) Is any of this tied to astral projection?
All of these creature's aren't physical, astral projection can help you interact with them easier.
5) who is god/gods?
Broad question. I believe all deities are real and valid, though the ones I work with directly are more important to me. [not superior in the grand scheme of things, but I have a personal bond with them, thus making my interaction with them more powerful than if I called on a random deity I've never met] Some believe all deities are merely archetypes of a single divine source, and I like that idea, though I don't subscribe to it. [kind of like the theory the "light at the end of the tunnel" one sees before they die is the birth canal thus meaning reincarnation is instant. I like the idea, but I've met too many spirits to 100% agree with it] Overall, gods are powerful divine beings you could worship and work with on your path. Most are doing their own thing, and while they may seek you out, their ultimate goals aren't in our realm of understanding. People seem intimidated by them, but from my experience, if you walk up and are respectful and honest, they will respond in kind. If you ask them if you can work with them and they say no, don't demand they change their mind, you'll get in trouble. If they say yes, don't be surprised if they ask you to do stuff for them. It's a two-way street. You're not just getting stuff for free. On good days and bad days, take a moment to connect with them [it's like any friendship, if you go months without speaking, then ask them to help you move, don't be surprised if they say no]
1) What is magick? Magic is the use of energy programmed by will to bring about a subtle change to ones circumstances.
Why do you believe? I have experienced it work.
2) what are your thoughts on the afterlife? I will find out when I get there or not.
3) Do the supernatural exist? Yes they do.
Do they effect us at all? Yes they do
4) Is any of this tied to astral projection? Yes and no. Magic users can make use of the astral if they wish. None are required to.
5) who is god/gods? Every culture has many, could you be more specific?
None of these questions has a correct or incorrect answer. All answers are legit. All experiences are legit. Many feel that magic doesn't exist because they can't 'see' it or 'prove it'. But I ask, can you prove the love of a parent or family member? Can you prove trust? Can you prove compassion, truth, loyalty, selfishness, arrogance? No. These are terms we use that have no concrete proof to them.
