Most of the wands I've made have been from bone, antler, or copper. Cosplay wands would work more or less, unless you've got a specific use for it and prefer a certain material for that use. There are wand makers online as well that will make them to your specifications for a price. All a wand really is, is a focusing point for your spells. They're entirely a matter of preference, though some swear by the woods and the metals, and the crystals, and whatnot used in them, I've always found that train of thought to be rather pretentious.

A wand is at its most basic is simply a tool by which you direct your energy at your desired spell or ritual result. So you can use whatever you wish as a wand if it works for you.

If you want one of wood but don't have trees of any sort near you you could even use a wooden chopstick or one of the wooden skewers you can often buy at a food market. And certainly any of the cosplay wands can be made to work in real magic if you charge them to your intent.

And if finding a wand you like is difficult, you can always use your own index finger as a wand. This is a really good substitute should you find yourself somewhere when you don't have an actual wand available.

Remember always, the magic is in the user, not the tool.
