teleporting... bat?

so on occasion there is what i thought to be a bat outside of my house near my neighbors house.
when i got a closer look. it didnt look exactly like a bat. but was a bit blurry with how fast it was moving.
bats also dont live in the area where im at.
what about it that caught my attention is that it always flies in the same circular pattern.
i use to think it disappeared into the trees then came out.
but when i looked at it from a different angle. it was disappearing and reappearing from thin air.
ive dubbed it the teleporting bat.
but im curious as to if there is a actual name for this thing.
and if anyone knows what it is.

It may well have been a moth, and the rapidity of its wings made it difficult to distinguish in dim light.

tho thanks for the info on moths. that was a fun fact i did not know
tho maybe albeit not a moth. maybe that is what was happening when i thought it was "teleporting".
aside from moths. is there any other creature that can happen with?
cus cecropia moths live for only one year. and ive been seeing this thing for more than 8 years.

It may not have been the exact same moth; there's more than one generation of the same species.

Also, bats do not fly around in tight circles the way you described. They fly about, seeking food.

i wouldnt say tight. the circle was maybe 8-10 feet in width.
but you do make a good point. cecropia dont even eat supposedly.
all they do is breed.
thank you for all the information.
