Begining in Tarot?

What should I do to heighten my tarot skills everyday? I know daily draws are good, but is there anything else? I really want to get good at tarot. Are there a structured frameworks I could possibly learn to get better at it? I want to try my best to get good at it.

Practice is the best, but I would also suggest reading books, listening to podcasts, and/or watching YouTube videos on the subject. I personally love the site BiddyTarot.com, I also like the YouTuber Kelly-Ann Maddox [she talks about tarot as well as self-love, shadow work and spiritual growth]

Research is a great way, but if you have close family and friends you can ask them if they want their cards read if they are opened to the idea. If not you can always offer your learning to other people online, but make sure to warn them that you are new at what you are doing.

If you go on the SoM store, there are many books to provide information on divination. There might also be some videos too. Best of luck.

Make flash cards and practice every day in fun ways, like come up with 3 card spreads and then expand from there. I like to journal so in my tarot journal, I write down keywords for each card and also my first impression of each card as my intuition teaches me more and more each day. You can also include numerology in your tarot journal, to give more insight as to what each card means. Do readings for friends and for yourself. Practice, practice, practice. :)

A semi scientific approach I mailed to another member; Tarot is a type of divination. When we use divination, we are depending on various things like higher power, intuition, and spiritual assistance. When we shuffle the deck, we are allowing these forces to guide the reveal rate of the cards. It reminds me also of that light experiment, and how it is a particle and a wave, depending on if its being watched. Because we can't readily tell which card is which until we flip it, it is accepted that the spirits can alter the order of the cards while we cant see them. If you grasp that concept, then you can just as well use a regular deck of cards to obtain the same results. Its easy to look up playing card suit meanings and play around with those until you can see the mechanic in action.

Most practitioners actually stray from tarot as a whole because it tends to be inaccurate for them. This is not their fault, but it is. See, things that have a physical presence tend to have will that can easily overpower that of non physical beings. That being said, it is increasingly difficult for someone to use tarot with accuracy if they are not able to shield their personal feeling, emotion, or bias from altering the reveal of the cards. For this reason as well, some tarot workers in the past were found to be manipulating the reads and were exiled, or killed, and basically ruined it for the rest of us.

Hope it helps! Blessed, we.
