Is this to draw energy or magick? If it's to draw magick, what would you be defining magick as?

I know this post is very old but I feel the need to correct this. First, Witchcraft is a skill, a craft, a practice. This means it's something that you train up, like practicing Art or Music skills. Saying a chant calling upon seemingly nothing is not going to get you any results. I'm not trying to come across as rude , but as a witch who's been practicing for the past 16 years I can tell you that, if you learn something in the beginning of your practice and you later on find that it's not correct. It becomes incredible difficult to shake that way of thinking. So , in my option, I'd say if you want to learn actually witchcraft, go to sources of information where the people are actually practicing. Like, when I first started I thought I needed books, but due to my situation books were out of the question. I found that just like doing reports for school witchcraft is the same in terms of how you research. Look into Witchcraft in your own area, what's the history? What's the different types of practice in your area? What do you want to get out of witchcraft? Etc, you also should remember that the point of Witchcraft isn't to cast spells, while they are a resource, the point is to change your own mind, give yourself a better life, etc. And while it definitely seems like Charmed and the Power of Three, had a huge impact on a lot of new witches, try to do a deep dive in the practice, for me I spent 2 years studying and casting "small" spells before I felt like I could confidently say "I'm a practitioner" because at the point I knew the history, I knew how it worked and how witchcraft in real life is not like the stuff you see in movies. Thankfully, the internet makes it so easy to find information, but the same is true for misinformation. And remember that just like in a school report you can use many different sources.
Hope this helps
