I've been having some trouble connecting with entities (usually deities) when I meditate. I have been able to do so in the past (about 3-4 times), but lately, nothing.
I usually meditate by picturing myself in a scene (beach, forest, cliff, etc) and immersing myself in the scene.
A few nights ago I had a meditation where I swear a male deity was besideme on the beach.But whenever I tried to look at Him, I was unable to; He would simply not be there. All I could see was coastline. But I could feel His presence via my intuition; I just couldn't look at or communicate with Him.
If it's worth noting, I have never been able to speak with deities via meditation. Usually when They came, They would do something, like pat my head or hug me, but I have never heard Them speak.
I wonder if I might be "blocking" Them somehow from showing Themselves, or if something else is happening? I'd appreciate any insight.
Try not to overthink about the situation which may cause the block. Also sometimes the being doesn't want to talk, I have found that most just like to sit there along side of you. Just focus on mediation and ask them if they wish to join you. Maybe later on during more sessions they might start to open up to you.
Whenever I visually meditate to meet with guides or figures from my meditations. I am never able to speak with them and am able to see what it is they are showing me.
I don't think it's a block. But note this is only my thought on the matter.
I think it may be related more to how we are better suited to learn?
I've read of many who converse audibly with such figures very well.
I myself am unable to do this.
Could it be perhaps you learn things easier visually? When you see them?
These are merely my thoughts on the matter.

Keep practicing! Perhaps in time you will be able to get words.
