falling dreams?

Hello! I am very new to this site and know almost nothing about astral projection. But throughout my entire life I have had dreams of falling over and over. Like I’m jumping really high over mountains and trees way up in the sky. Then on the way back down I can actually feel my stomach do a flip. I seem to be making really long jumps and going long distances. Is this a form of astral projection. Could it be developed into it? Or just normal dreams?

If you can develop reality checks within the dream, then yes: You could enter into a lucid dreaming state. Some people use lucid dreaming as a bridge into astral projection, though many will insist that a lucid dream is still just a dream, and there's a definite difference.

So, basically realize you're dreaming. Start controlling your actions in the dream, and from there you should become mentally awake enough to will yourself out of the dream and into the astral. There's a distinct change in level of control and reality and ability to interact with the environment, depending on what it is you're accomplishing.

Thank you ! In some of the dreams where I have done this (two or three) there is a Dracula looking thing with mechanical looking teeth reaching up and almost catching me? Is that something to worry about?

One dream in particular I wasn’t falling but I was frantically trying to get into my bathroom screaming for someone to let me in. Then when I finally got the door to open I tried to touch someone (faceless) in the bathtub and they were so shockingly cold that it literally zapped me out of my dream? I can still feel the numb cold now. Then I opened my eyes to see the bathroom light was the only thing on and the door was open. Can’t be sure but I got the feeling that it was also me in the bathtub. I’ll never forget that dream. Do you think it could be significant?
