Technology/Modern Spells?

Hi all!
I'm lucky enough to have the opportunity to write an extended paper on the Craft. My title is 'How and why have the ancient practices of Wicca and Witchcraft been adapted for the modern day? ' Anyhow, I'm looking for help on a specific segment. I need to find a few specifically modern or technology related spells, such as computer blessings or makeup glamours. I've searched the website and found a few, but if anyone could send any more my way it'd really be appreciated! Of course, you're all welcome to read it when it's complete - I was planning on asking the forums if it needed any changes when it's in the final draft stage :)
Blessed be!

Wicca is not ancient. It was invented in the mid 1900s

Though technology has always come into the availability of spell craft (oil lamps to candles, availability of items and ritual tools), books played a huge role in the grimoire tradition, and were used by the cunning folk. Wicca's publication to the world (1949,54) helped spread the interest, and in turn type writers and computers contributing to the work of many authors. Though, say our "Book of Shadows" has to be hand written by tradition, I know of other modern witches that have online, or computer typed spell books. Computers and apps are a big part of astrology now, and used a lot in the replacement of old almanacs, moon phases, rising times, e.t.c. for spell work.

For the actual technology of spells, I think material from some of the more mainstream Neopagan authors contain the spells you're looking for. A lot of the nineties Llewylln authors like Silver Ravenwolf, Fiona Horne, e.t.c. For the practitioners that are more inspired by strictly traditional, and ancient practises that may not be the best example, and more along the lines of what you're looking for.

I think it's important to note that most spiritual practices will evolve with the rest of society. Even if it means incorporating things that aren't traditional like lighters instead of matches, or polished and tumbled stones rather than raw stone pieces. Plastic obviously wasn't utilized by the ancient peoples like it is today but it's still used among those of us who are on a budget (i.e. using plastic tupperware for storing herb mixtures or even using them as cauldrons).

Some churches now a days are really utilizing modern technology in their sermons to create some pretty interesting light shows or just to help project their voices a bit further across an entire arena, in order to maintain the attention of the attendees. I don't see this as a bad thing but rather something that piques the interest of the general public and keeps them coming back.

I think Ebooks have replaced the majority of physical books, especially among baby witches as some of them are still deep in the broom closet. This also works to help maintain security and safety. Another thing to remember is so long as there is intent behind the action, then it counts as a spell. So you can technically curse someone through an email or text message and it could be successful, all things considered.
