Reckless Magick

I have a friend who has been using magick recklessly. I don’t know what to do because they won’t listen to me. What can I do? I honestly don’t know what to do.

Voodoo I don’t know the others but that’s one of the things they are playing around with.

Voodoo is a religion, it isn't necessarily magickal practice within itself.

Honestly, if someone is doing something reckless, and refusing to listen, there isn't much you can do. Sometimes, although it isn't easy, it is best to let them realise what they are doing is negative for themselves. Inevitably it will come back to bite them, and hopefully they will be able to learn from their mistakes.

I'm no professional, I'm little more than even a beginner, but I will say that practicing negative energy whether misguided by the ideas behind false terms (Voodoo is a religion, not demon magic) can only bring negative energy to oneself. This is the same as repeating negative comments to a plant, soon it will rott. Your friend may be thinking that they are harming someone else by practicing what they believe to be black magic when in reality they are harming themselves by continuing to pursue negative outcomes on others.

I would simply tell them that their grip on negative energy is only hurting themselves and that the magic they are trying to practice is not actually hurting their enemy, it's hurting their friends (you). Try to find ways to help them refocus their energy by doing activities together that will uplift you both. I would recommend doing a burning ritual, like burning photos of the person they do not like, and then saying things that will help them let go of the pain they have experienced at the hands of that person. Then, go to a stream and sing songs to cleanse your heart and fill it with joyful memories that you have created together.

I'm not sure how much of this is actual magic, but I do recommend it as a therapeutic outlet for you both and to help heal your friendship.
