Circle uncasting

So I casted a circle and started clockwise. I never read anything about going counterclockwise to close it. Does it actually matter if i said a closing chant?

In some traditions, like Wicca for example; circles are closed in a counterclockwise motion. I wouldn't worry TOO much though if it's not what you're used to.

Some people might disagree with me, but I believe it's better to cast a spell 'wrong' with confidence than to cast a spell 'right' and be full of doubts. Spirit knows your true intent and as long as your visualization and intent are clear you shouldn't worry too much.

If the idea of going counterclockwise or saying a closing chant to close your circle helps your visualization then go for it.

Generally you go clockwise to open and counterclockwise to close, mainly because to close a circle you often do the reverse of how you opened one. This isn't necessarily a requirement, the key thing is your energy and visualisation, everything else is just smbolist and association. If you want to say a closing chant you can, but if you don't feel it's right for you, then you don't need to.
