Opinions

Hey, everyone. Wasn't sure how to title this, but here it goes:

Yesterday afternoon, my grandma passed away from-I think-a heart attack due to smoking. Hours later, her sister (my great-aunt) passed away. I thought (and still think) that my great-aunt must've found out about my grandma passing away, despite not being told about it. I think there might have been a spiritual connection or something like that. Can't really describe it, so I apologize if it sounds stupid.

What are your thoughts on this?

Coincidence is always a factor, especially with family as when people share genes and developmental environments it creates a lot of opportunity for health traits to also be shared. However, coincidence also only goes so far in my book. Sometimes there is just more to it. Something intangible and subjective that can be hard to ignore.

However, the rub lies within your own thoughts and beliefs. For those who think such connections as unlikely, the words of others will always fail to convince otherwise. And if one's philosophy includes the possibility of such links then opposing opinions are just as unlikely to change one's mind.
I n the end, it becomes a matter of choice and reflection. An expression of opinion through the frame of personal experiences.

Personally, I do believe that some people can come to be bound to eachother in a way that forms a deep tie and kindhip. Especially if the two people were close and cared deeply about one another. Perhaps it was a soul partnership of some sort, two people living an incarnation to have certain experiences and lessons together. Or to balance some sort of Karma between or around them. And when one's lessons were concluded the other's were as well. So with no need to stay they noth moved on.

Another thought is the concept of a split or divided soul living concurrantly to learn/experience multiple paths at once. Some older souls have a bit more gumption and can Divide their attention, so to speak. Committing portions of their energy into different things to exchange some additional effort for more rapid growth. Maybe when one died the other felt a pull to reunite.

Honestly there are many philosophies and ideas out there... but these are my thoughts anyways. Influenced by my own experiences and (of course) things I have read from books like 'journey of souls'.

Thanks for your input.

I did consider coincidence as well, even though I was too distraught to think about it at the time.

Heh, certainly an understandable state to be in. It is hard enough to lose one person you care about. I couldn't fathom the feeling of losing two so close together. I do hope you have some good friends around who can keep you company through this.
