Getting Out of a Funk

I was wondering how people manage to keep their chi balanced and their energies clean. I feel like every day I'm struggling against this funk where I'm idle, I don't want to do anything except check facebook and watch TV. I used to read all the time and studying the Craft was a passion, but now I'm in this constant state of being stagnant.

What are some things you guys do to keep productive and keep the good stuff flowing?

This actually still happens to me quite often. Color something, paint, do a puzzle, get out of the house. Usually going and doing something completely different than what I have been triggers the escape for me. Sometimes I just have to let it pass. Meditation and grounding/centering myself helps as well as it helps calm my mind even though it isnt racing. It helps me focus better and pinpoint why I might be in the funk to begin with.

-Pinterest account: Good for magick related purpose or non-magick
-Listen to magickal music on YouTube: My fav is Jenna Greene at the moment.
-Breathe out energy that is weighing you down, imagining it floating away
-Go for a walk outside, even if it is just ten minutes
-Give your apartment or house a really good clean, you can even watch TV while you do. Later do a spiritual cleanse
-Speaking of cleanse, think about having an epsom salt bath, incorporate magick into it with crystals, candles, etc.
-Cooking gets me creative- I do a lot of magickal cooking and spell casting
-Watch YouTube channels on magick- if you are more so in the mood to watch TV then witchy channels are great if you do not feel like reading at the moment
-do not judge yourself for being in the state you are in, listen to your body and mind and ask it what it needs.

I know this feeling. One day I just woke up and I didn't feel it anymore, butnitnisnt gone, I still worry I'm not doing enough some days. When I was in this slump I tried to do something spiritual every day [some days I was energized and able to cast a circle, many days logging onto SoM or some other online pagan community was enough, just try one thing a day and work up from there]

For your energy issues I would try a couple different things, daily grounding, charging and shielding is always a good idea [morning or night, whatever works for you] you can also have a cleansing bath or shower after a long day [as you wash visualize washing away negative tar like energy. I tend to chant 'stress and strain, go down the drain'] you might also need to carry crystals with you to either help you calm/ground yourself or to absorb the energy through your day. You might also consider a reiki healing or finding a guided meditation to balance your chakras.

EDIT: sorry, just remembered something, you say you just watch tv and Facebook [or at least that's all you're motivated to do] what do you watch/follow? If you watch a lot of drama this can be effecting your energy and motivation. You may need to add in one or two groups like TinyBuddha or pagan groups [I'm in a closed group I can mail you the name if you'd like] Witchcraft Down and Dirty is a fun one I'm in. You might also wish to look at the content other groups are putting out. Is it a lot of 'this group is terrible' or is it a more balanced thing [laugh with people instead of at them] I had to do a big Facebook cleanse of groups, pages, and people when I was low. Same with shows, try watching something new, say more positive and uplifting. I'm not saying all the old has to go [i still love Daria and classic Blink 182] but you might discover you lean too far towards one side and that's causing this funk.
