Broom closet - herbs?

I’m a teen witch, and my parents wouldn’t want me getting into pagan stuff. Sometimes I’ve gone in the cabinets for herbs for different spells (we have a surprisingly huge amount), but I was wondering how you hide herbs with strong smells (such as garlic and cloves)?

Something you might try is starting your own herb garden. Nobody can really question you developing a hobby, right? But to answer your question, I usually use glass jars. I prefer mason jars, but that's just me... Mostly, it just has to keep moisture out so that the herbs are not damaged after I have dried them.

How nosy are your parents, exactly? If they invade your space too much, that may not be an option. But you could also try (for different herbs, probably not garlic, but I won't judge) a sort of filter-like bag. It's similar to a tea bag, but you keep it in with your clothes to make them smell nice. I had a couple growing up, so that is less questionable as well if you wanted to try that.

Those are the only real cover stories I can think of right now, but I hope this helped a bit. Best of luck to you

I apologize if this is a little late, but I think I have a possible solution. Quite a bit of herbs are in modern day recipes. You could not only create dishes but have an excuse to store herbs. I do not think your parents would question that.
