I need help.

Hello.
So, for some reason, I started singing in my sleep between 2 and 3 o'clock last night. My mother was scared and tried to wake me up to which I responded, half conscious, with 'I know' before I fell asleep once again (That's what she told me and what I remember saying). This has never happened to me before and frankly, I'd like to know if this has happened to someone else or if you know what's the cause of it. Thank you very much. Blessed be.~

What were you singing? Was it something you know well or something you have never heard before? Was it in your native language or in a foreign tongue? Interesting post.

Well, I'm pretty sure that it was something I have heard before and that it's in a foreign language (my native language is Serbian and it certainly didn't sound like that). I am so confused...

I wouldn't worry about it. I've just recently looked it up, and apparently it's a thingthat doctors are researching.

"So How Do I Get Musical Sleep?

According to Oliver Sacks, the brain makes little distinction between music heard entirely within our heads and that which we hear externally.

So listen to music you love during the day particularly in the evening, a time of required rest before sleep. Then try to remember some of that music and listen to it as you get ready for sleep in your 30-60 minute pre-slumber sleep ritual.Dont be surprised if you hear yourself humming or singing it in your sleep while you dream. And perhaps there will be a new melody in your mind as you awake.

Singing in your sleep (7/25/11) the rest doctor.https://therestdoctor.wordpress.com/2011/07/25/singing-in-your-sleep-72511/

I think it's pretty cool. Unless if you're fearful, of something, when in your sleep, and singing. Than there's probably nothing wrong, yer just having a great time. Hope this helps. If it makes you feel any better. I often dream of string music playing. Cause I listen to it a lot.
