did I astral project?

Hi I promise I wont be posting every time I astral project but Im new to this and I am really interested and want Your opinion about this. I tried to astral project third time. My grandpa fond me because the light was open whole night and he found me laying on my back paralyised. it was about 7 hours from when I started and I then I woke up and went to sleep. Idk if I was sleeping or was I in some state because I always remember my dream so I dont think that those 7 hours I was sleeping especially if I was in same position ( laying on my back like you do when you astral project) and I slept for two hours and my head hurts a lot. Do you think that I actually astral projected for 7 hours or something else because gramdpa told me that he called out to me and I didnt react or move at all( he found me in morning 6)

As someone who knows how to astral project, at least in my own experience, I've found that astral projection is a purposeful thing, meaning when I astral project I'm projecting on purpose. From the way you have described it , at least from my perspective it sounds more like you were simply experiencing some kind of sleep paralysis (I can't think of the proper term) so that while your dreaming your not moving your physical body.

If you ever need help I'll be more than happy to try to answer your questions.

Best of luck on your spiritual journey!

As Pike said, Astral projection is a purposeful exercise. Rarely is it a spontaneous experience, but it is almost always remembered.

If you had been trying to project, you may have fallen asleep. Otherwise, there is a possibility of experiencing a catatonic state, though that is something for a medical profession, and I do not think a single experience is any real indication.
