Unrealistic Spells
By:
Hello. I’ve been a frequent visitor of this site, prior to creating my own account and becoming a member. I always grew excited when seeing spells to become a vampire or mermaid. However, I am older now. In fact, I’m a grown adult and see this as simply unrealistic, especially since I’ve also read what the site says on what spells can and cannot do. This is disappointing, but not fully. I’m still interested in creating my own spells, but this also leads to something else I’ve discovered in the past couple of years. They’re called Subliminals, some claim to actually use magick while others say they only use hidden affirmations. I was skeptical at first, especially because some made outrageous claims, like stating you can change your eye color and change yourself and become a shapeshifter. It sounds ridiculous, and I know this sounds off-topic, but you’ll see my point. I began seeing results from simpler Subliminals I used to start out and test, for example, a wish subliminal. It’s actually a long process, you listen everyday. However, I never listened to a subliminal that the maker claimed was combined with any sort of magick! I was wondering what your opinions on Subliminals are, or if you have heard of them. And before I end this post, I’d like to say I wasn’t a strong ‘believer’ at all. However, realizing that the average human doesn’t use a large percentage of their brain makes Subliminals more plausible, as well as the fact that everyone has a strand of DNA of an unknown purpose.

For starters, I'm so glad someone pointed out that many of the spells on this site are just unrealistic and honestly aren't reflective of real-life magic at all. This site does contain real material, but since it has an open page for creating spells and draws a large fluffy audience (meaning people who pretend to practice when they just want a quick spell or to feel like they are powerful or something. "full of fluff"), it doesn't surprise me that some spells aren't actually possible. Granted, they are fun, but it is simply not possible to shapeshift or transform yourself into something you are not, at least not on this plane and in a physical way. Ones that focus on astral projection, mental grounding, and association/behavioral transformations are usually possible. In these cases, the issue is mostly a matter of focus and intent.

As for subliminals, they do work but like magic, to a degree. Listening to subliminals won't make you a werewolf/vampire/mermaid/etc. I have heard that they can help you with minor physical changes (usually by promoting you subconsciously to change yourself by taking the steps to) but really can only help you mentally. You can't just change your eyes from a dark, deep brown to a vibrant blue for example if every aspect of your DNA for your eye color is for a dark, deep brown. But if you want to be more organized or more punctional, I don't see the harm in it. I personally would rather charge a crystal or carry a bag, but if you have intent it should work.

As for using the humans don't use a large percentage of our brains part, it's been proven by several studies that humans, in fact, use our full brain, like most creatures. We are evolved to. At any given moment though, we use different sections. That's a matter of multi-tasking, not mental potential. If you're not using your sense of sight region of your brain because you closed your eyes, you're not suddenly tapping into unlocked potential because you opened your eyes and are now using it XD

Also, we have mapped out DNA sequences before. We can't interperate exactly what each section means, but we can recognize them for specific traits. Not ALL of it of course, and not to the extreme, but there is no large section that we don't know what is except for a section that is usually believed to define age (introns? I'm not a doctor or biologists so I'm not sure what they are called).

Finally, since you mentioned eye color, if your eyes are a light brown (not blue, not green, not dark brown) you can change your eyes to green using honey. It's semi-permanent but you should consult with an optometrist first. There's also contacts and eye-changing surgery. As for shapeshifting, it's not possible on the physical plane. Try astral projecting.
Hope that answered your question!

Subliminal is defined as influencing the conscious mind without the mind itselfknowing or understanding. It's more of a psychological term rather than a magick terminology. Magic does work, but not in ways most perceived it to be. As you know, you cannot alter DNA. A person cannot fly without having necessary forces and a large enough wingspan to support the weight. A person cannot teleport or turn invisible as particles do not magically disappear then reappear. In hindsight, the mind is complex as it is easily fooled. In a way, "subliminal magic" can work, but I would not say it's part of magic. It's a psychological effect to change the mindset of the person without them knowing. It is similar to the concept of the placebo effect. Both seem to trick the mind into thinking of something else.

I hope this helps.

To address the very end of your post, and the thing on which you are basing your supposition that subliminals might help you to do the sorts of things and magic does not and cannot do.

First of all, it is not true that we only use a small portion of our brain, we use almost all of it all the time. You might wish to read the article from Scientific American at https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/do-people-only-use-10-percent-of-their-brains/ which discusses this common misconception.

As for having a "strand of unknown DNA", that is also false. We have not fully mapped out the DNA sequences for humans, but we know what it is and what it does. So there is no lurking mystery there either. http://www.newworldencyclopedia.org/entry/Human_genome

As for "subliminals", the most common use for these in in forms of advertising messages designed to make you "want" to buy a particular product or service. In this usage they function rather like hypnotic suggestions.

However, there is a lot of nonsense on the internet about subliminals suggesting they can be used to create physical changes in your body...a different way of doing "biokinesis". But this is not true, just as biokinesis is not a fact either. You are still not going to be able to shift your DNA to become anything other than the human determined by the genes your parents passed down to you.

Subliminal? Like affirmations or a sentence on repeat while you sleep? I believe they can work as a way to psych you up and set your intention. [also it's a myth we only use a small percentage of our brain] as for what's possible by magick [or subliminals] magick is a natural energy, so it can only do natural things. You can work hard and get a raise, so a spell can work to increase your odds, but you cannot wake up one day as a vampire so a spell won't make you one either. Subliminals, affirmations, vision boards, chants, and whatever else puts your intent out into the universe like a spell, so I don't see why they wouldn't work.
