One problem?

I thought I was ready to start practicing Astral Projection, but there is one problem.
Every time I lie down, there will be a song playing in the back of my head. No matter how much I try to push the thought out, or try to relax and forget it, it just reappears. It has been over a week and the same problem keeps occurring. Could anyone help me with this?

A song stuck in your head is known as an 'ear worm.'

An easy way to help stop an ear worm is to play the ending of the song in your mind. At least it helps for many.

It may not work, or it may start the next. I often walk around with some song or part of a song in my head for a very long time.

Astral projection is closely related to meditation. With time, you will train your mind in the direction of your intent. Stopping internal dialogue and other mental chatter in the thought stream is not necessarily a goal of meditation, but calming the mind can very well be. One way is use of singular focus, such as observing the breath. There are also a lot of relaxation methods which can work as well. The directed focus can help extraneous thoughts quiet down a bit.

The deeper states of meditation come with practice, and only practice, whatever the method happens to be. These deeper states are needed for astral projection.

Easy fix is to not listen to music.

This song... is it a normal song you just have stuck in your head or an unusual remixed forged in your mind? If it is just a normal song then the advice above should help. Play the end of the song to hopefully get rid of the ear worm.

If it is a song being generated by your mind then I recommend letting it play. Let it rise to the surface and use its rhythm as your mind creates an amazing remix based on you. Such music, at least to my experience, can greatly improve one's AP and meditation.

Not listening to music could make things worse... But maybe letting it to play could help. Just rake a deep breath, focus on your breathing, relax and let the song play. Do not focus on it, just let it play.
